Overseas Operations

Segrest Farms owns, is partnered with, or have built for our suppliers, saltwater collection facilities in the Philippines, Panama, Hawaii, Sir Lanka, Sumatra, Nicaragua, Eritrea, Saudi Arabia, St. Vincent. Bahamas, Fiji and Palau. We have three other countries we are considering building in within the next 6 years.

In each of these, we have constructed the finest modern facilities for collection, holding, and shipping ornamental fish. We supply most of these stations with a trained station manager, a trained packing manager, and net trained and certified divers. Each of these centers calls for an investment anywhere between $100,000 and $350,000 and many months of work. To maintain our high quality of products and services requires continuous hands-on management.

Here at Segrest Farms, we go to great lengths with these operations, in spite of the difficulties encountered in working in remote areas and with foreign governments. It will always be our intention to bring you the best tropical fish and sea life available. It's worth the effort as we continue to strive to have complete control of the fish from the reef to our customers' aquariums.

Many companies advertise hand caught saltwater fish from an overseas facility, but Segrest Farms is the only one who has actually gone to this expense and effort to ensure that our customers have the highest quality available.

We also purchase from facilities around the world where we have not yet established our own facility.
